About me
Nicole Graev Lipson is the author of the memoir in essays Mothers and Other Fictional Characters, a USA Today bestseller and LitHub Notable Small Press Book of 2025. Her writing has appeared in The Sun, Virginia Quarterly Review, Gettysburg Review, LA Review of Books, The Washington Post, and The Boston Globe, among other venues, and well as in the recent anthology No Contact: Writers on Estrangement. Her work has been awarded a Pushcart Prize, selected for The Best American Essays, and shortlisted for a National Magazine Award. Originally from New York City, she lives outside of Boston with her family.
